StarCraft: Brood War
Every developer dreams of creating a masterpiece that StarCraft: Brood War has become. No other game has come close to its longevity and popularity. All of this started in 1998 when Blizzard released the expansion pack, Brood War, to Star Craft. With the original winning more then 30 awards alone, expectations were higher. The expansion pack only raised the bar for gamers to come. The expansion set followed Blizzard’s tradition in excellence and went on win several awards and is still considered to be one of the best RTS games ever released - the best to StarCraft fans around the world. The game is recognized by the leading magazines and websites in the industry, from GameFan, GameSpot, Computer Gaming World, and several others.

StarCraft went on to revolutionize the progaming scene and helped revolution e-Sports, starting in South Korea and now spreading to China and Europe. With such Korean legends as Lim Yo Hwan (Slayers_`Boxer), Lee Yun-Yeol (Nada), Kim Dong-Soo (Garimto) and others, these progamers are coming close to the level of actors and musicians in Korea. The western world has made an impact too. Starting with the Canadian Guillaume Patry (X'Ds~Grrr...) to Bertrand Grospellier (Elky) and now to the blue eyed, Polish wonder Krysztof Nalepka (Draco), gamers are now able to make a living playing this game. The scene is still developing in the rest of the world, following in WarCraft’s steps. The game is a staple in the World Cyber Games and is in its eighth year in the event, the only original game still left.
