With the demise of one of the oldest StarCraft teams, Czech Demolition Squad, a spot opened up in Division 1. Fighting for that chance in Division 1 will be the Swedes from BroodWar and the Latino team, Latin Gamers. Both teams finished in third place in their respective divisions. LG was only a point off from second place after a 6-3 season, good for 30 points. The guys from BW performed marvelously but it wasn't enough. Despite the top three teams finishing 7-2, BW was two points shy with 34.
But today, these two teams will have one more opportunity to return to Division 1. Their last match against each was a little more than a week ago in ICC-Clan League. In that match, BW dominated, 4-1. Both teams will be bringing similar line ups so with the chance of revenge for their previous loss and earning a spot in Division 1, this match should be extremely exciting to follow.
As the draw shows, this match was a nailbiter with BW taking home the win, 3-2 (6-5). After the match, BW-TuFFeR had this to say "The season before this, we went down to Division 2. So this time we will work harder to stay in Division 1." BW-Andy, who played in the decisive match for BW, said this after the second game: "We have worked hard and managed to make our way back into Division 1. We expect tougher matches and better results than in our past. This season we will work hard to dominate the ranks."
